How many times should a beginner train per week?

Typically, as a beginner, you can train 3 to 4 times per week, with each session lasting 30 to 45 minutes. This regularity of practice will yield better progress.

What attire and shoes should you wear?

The attire for training or live classes should be loose-fitting or sportswear. The goal is to ensure that your attire does not hinder you from performing the various movements. I recommend wearing sports shoes or martial arts shoes (those with flat and thin soles).

When is the best time to practice traditional Tai Chi?

You can practice Tai Chi at any time. Whenever you are available, you can engage in your training. Whether it's in the morning, afternoon, or even in the evening.

Can I train with music?

For this question, I recommend not listening to music while you train. When practicing traditional Tai Chi, we need to relax our body and mind and try to remain attentive to all the details of the movements. Our mind guides our body to perform the movements, and gradually our body finds its own rhythm, which naturally improves as our training progresses.

If we listen to music, it can distract us and make our training less effective.

Do not train on an empty stomach.

When practicing Tai Chi, it is important to avoid training on an empty stomach as it can slow down your progress and diminish the benefits of Tai Chi.

Warm-up before training and classes is necessary.

Before your training sessions or classes, it is essential to warm up, even if Tai Chi movements seem slow. In addition, warming up your body will be very useful for relaxing your body and quickly focusing on the training and live class.

One should practice in a spacious area with fresh air.

For Tai Chi, it is recommended to exercise in a sufficiently spacious area, either indoors at home or outdoors in nature.

Is food important during Tai Chi training?

For Tai Chi practitioners, there are no strict rules regarding food. However, it is recommended to avoid fatty foods. Dinner should be light.
